About nine years ago I was reading bodybuilding.com and I came across a teenage bodybuilding website. The kid, about 17 years of age, was claiming that he was adding 2 pounds of muscle per week. I nicely responded to him and told him that this was not possible. Yet, what did I know after twenty years of training?
Well his response was not so friendly!!! Needless to say, and for the purpose of this blog, he would have made my grandmother cover her ears. He called me out through his cursing and made himself a self-pronounced guru on fitness and training. After a year of training he had mastered the secrets to the sport and " look out Ronnie...I will see you on the stage next year!"symbolized his attitude.
SO THIS IS WHAT I DID BEFORE FACE BOOK EXISTED!!!
I sent an email to Ronnie Coleman outlining the claim..... Within 2 hours I had a response. Ronnie said this was impossible even with drugs and I will never forget his closure " Tell him Ronnie said so, and I am Mr.Olympia."
Well, I could not wait to get back to school the next day and get to my computer.....I sent the self- confessing guru Ronnie's message.....And I am still awaiting his response...
Lesson: Don't waste your time on people with little experience and be careful about the sites you read....some contain good information while others are a mess of Internet marketing which is out of control in the fitness community. There are some "hardcore sites" and I will give some to you later.....
Stop folks saying you have gained muscle when it is water weight.......please seperate the two concepts.... More on that as well.
Until then, "stretch your mind and strengthen you body."
