It has been a while since I last blogged. Tonight, out of curiosity, I checked the stats and was pleasantly surprised how many continue to read the posts.
For me, it was a very busy fall ..... at work (on the road doing workshops ),working with clients, building a new house, and of course pursuing my own training goals.
And, did I mention that I am also a husband and father with two new dogs in training as well?
By the end of November 2011....I felt like I had "hit the wall". Something had to change. It was not a feeling of stress. In fact, the events outlined above were exciting for the most part. It was, however, a feeling of tiredness. My teaching/evaluation job was a constant and could not change since it literally provided my "bread and butter". Training clients is something I enjoy. And, " H.... will freeze over" before I remotely consider giving up my training.
.
A SMALL change can have a BIG impact!
For almost three decades my day went something like this. Off to work, off to the gym and then off to bed. (repeat). I have the scars on my biceps and under my arms to prove it.
I am doing early morning workouts
Now, for three days a weeks since December 2011 my day is structured like this.... (I also do several evening workouts with my son)
4:45 a.m. ---- Out of bed
5:00 a.m. ----- Nitric Impact from ADVANCED GENETICS in body ( It will wake you up)
5:15 a.m. ------ arrive at gym (The cold Newfoundland air wakes me up as well)
5:20 a.m -5:40 a.m. -------Cardio/Warmup
5:45 a.m. - 6: 45 a.m ------- Weight training
THEN IT IS OFF TO WORK at 7:45 a.m.
This may sound like a weird way to deal with tiredness....
Stay tuned....you may be surprised. You may consider working on getting a hardbody early in the morning.
